Scripture

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.”

Proverbs 3: 5-6

Message and Prayer

Just as God will use promotion, increase, and abundance to fulfill his promises to you, he will also use closed doors, adversities, disappointment, and ill-treatment to move us to our destiny. We have to learn to trust him and to take the bad with the good. While going through the adversity we will question why this is happening to us and ask why would God allow us to go through difficult times, heartache, and disappointment, this especially if we were honoring God, being faithful, and thankful. See, it is not our job to understand why things happen; God has planned every detail of our lives and he is the only one with full understanding. This is why we should trust in him only and not stress about the whys in life. Our job is to trust in him, lean on him, and acknowledge his goodness, love, grace, mercy, and blessings in all that you do; not to understand the why. He promises that if you do so, he will direct your path; meaning, if you are obedient, keep acknowledging and honoring him he will direct us to the destiny filled with peace, joy, and prosperity that he promised us!

Heavenly Father, may I constantly be aware of your presence in my life. May I discover that you walk with me each day and give me the ability to turn to you for guidance and direction. Thank you Father for accompanying me in the darkness as well as in the light, and in sadness as well as in joy. May your spirit lead me to trust you and come to understand that you keep your word and are always faithful and loving. I place myself and my future into your hands.
